This blogpost is divided into 3 sections, which I am splitting it into 3 different blogpost (itβs too long!) :

#1 Making Sense of Data
βNo one sees the world the way that you do. Itβs one of your gifts. You have unique wisdom, unique ideas, and a unique understanding of the world.β - NewHappyCo
Sense-making is like putting together puzzle pieces to understand what's going on. Our job is to help the team figure things out by listening well, asking questions, and working together with empathy and humor.
We bring different viewpoints together to see the whole picture, find risks, and discover opportunities for everyone.
As a business analyst, harnessing our senses is key to navigating the complex world of analysis and collaboration.
Vision: Seeing the big picture and visualizing solutions.
Auditory: Active listening and clear communication.
Collaboration/Responsiveness: Working effectively with others and being available for support.
Comprehend: Detecting potential issues and taking proactive steps.
Judgement: Balancing priorities and making informed decisions.
The 6th Sense (Humor): Using humor to break tension, foster creativity, and build rapport.
By honing these "business analysis senses," professionals can gather requirements, identify risks, and collaborate more effectively, ultimately leading to project success.
